Translating the Printed Word With a Human Touch

"Without books the development of civilization would have been impossible. They are the engines of change, windows of the world, lighthouses erect in the sea of time. They are companions, teachers, magicians, bankers of the treasures of the mind. Books are humanity in print." -- Barbara Tuchman

I have written six books that are currently in 28 foreign translation editions, enthusiastically endorsed by people like Steve Forbes, Les Brown, Ken Blanchard, Brian Tracy, Cathy Hughes, Joe Frazier, Billy Graham,  Bill Cosby, Joni Eareckson Tada, Julius Erving, Ben Carson, Florence Littauer, Tony Campolo, George Fraser, Tony Evans, D. James Kennedy, Warren Wiersbe, Paul Meier and many  others:

1). RETURN TO GLORY: The Powerful Stirring of the Black
       Man
2). WHEN LIFE ISN'T FAIR: Making Sense Out of Suffering
3). LIVING WITH YOUR CONSCIENCE WITHOUT GOING
       CRAZY
4). KINGDOM ZOOLOGY: Dealing With the Wolves,
Serpents & Swine in Your Life
5). "GOD IS NOT FAIR": Coming To Terms With Life's Raw
       Deals
6). If Nobody Loves You, Create The Demand: A Powerful
Jolt of Entrepreneurial Energy and Wisdom

To Order These Books

View some of the many foreign translation editions

While there is no substitute for the human touch, I view these editions (Korean, Polish, Spanish, Portuguese, Romanian and others) as little 10-ounce missionaries that never take a coffee break, never need life or health insurance and continue to reach lives for years to come. You should see some of  the heart-warming letters I get from around the world!

The mission publishers in many countries have very little, if any, financial resources for translation, printing and distributing printed matter. The foreign translation editions can provide economic empowerment for these publishers along with providing resource tools their particular missions. The mission publishers ensure that the translated books are culturally sensitive.

Many countries do not have the enormous distractions that we experience in the West. 150 TV channels. Movies. You know what I mean. In some countries one book will be read by between 25 and 50 people. The printed word is still revered, while in the West, there is a less than one person reading one book ratio.

I voluntarily receive no royalties from any of these foreign translation editions and will continue that policy. No bull. No hype.

I have set up The Freeman Institute Foundation, a non-profit organization accountable to the Congressional District Programs, in an effort to obtain funds for more foreign translation projects. Please consider FLP as an ongoing target of your philanthropy. Let’s hit a literary bulls-eye together. Take a look at the other projects adopted by The Freeman Institute Foundation.

Action Plan: For more info and/or to donate funds to any of these 501(c)(3) non-profit projects, make contact below. And I will keep in touch with you as to the responses to the edition you helped to publish. I promise.

100,000 Blessings,
     Joel
